Made In Penang; Penang #1

Hello everybody!
Summer is already around the corner, I can't wait to explore the world and go home again soon. Sorry for the lack of updates because I have been busy with work. Anyhoo, here's a post from last summer when I visited Steph and her fams in Penang.

First stop: Made In Penang

It's an interactive museum in Penang, not too sure but I think it's newly opened. It wasn't too packed when we were there and we all definitely had so much of fun. I think it's a good spot for families to spend time together. I find the arts in this museum very well-drawn and they're fun to play with too.

How can a person dislike something as amazing as durian.

Turtles are adorable, aren't they?

Yes, we're married. HAHAHA.

Second stop: Penang delicacies
Penang is famous for their ridiculously cheap and amazing food. Unfortunately I haven't got much time at that time to eat as much as I can. I hope to go back again soon with an empty tummy though.

#1 Cendol
Don't be frightened by the green worm-shaped thing. Those are the main ingredients in this dessert. It's not a jelly like texture but it's somewhat like it. You will get what I mean if you were to try it. I literally finished this bowl of goodness in 10mins.

#2 Penang Har Mee
This is another amazing soup-based noodles, originally from Penang. It was too spicy for me but I love it. I'm weird like that. It does not taste anything like the instant Penang Har Mee you see in supermarkets. I couldn't finish it 'cause I couldn't take the spiciness. HAHAHA. What a Malaysian.

Have a great Sunday!

Lots of Love,

Cristallo, Pacific Regency Hotel Suites

Hi all!
It's been a while. I do apologize for my lack of updates due to my busy schedule. This post will be a super throwback post back from last summer.

Introducing: Cristallo di Luna

Baby b and I went there for our annual dinner date last summer. It was a hard location for us to find as one, I am very bad with directions and two, it was located somewhere hidden. We've found our way eventually. Well, not me, Carmen did. HAHA.

A nice dinner that overlooks KL is what we always go for. Instead of having a twin tower view, which is the thing nowadays, we sat beside KL tower. Hipster view for the win. I was really looking forward to the foods as the menu looked pretty impressive. The foods have Malaysian flavors in Western-styled cooking.

It was very empty when we were there. It was just us and a couple who looked like in their 50s, probably celebrating their wedding anniversary. No doubt, the view was gorgeous.

I was distracted at that time and Carmen was complaining throughout dinner. HAHA.

Our starters:
(L) Velouté of Pumpkin with Toasted Sunflower Seed, Cinnamon Crème Fraiche
(R) Cappuccino of Wild Mushrooms and Black Olive Dust.

I personally am not impressed by the plating but taste wise was pretty good. Just a note if you were wondering, there was no coffee taste in the mushroom soup. These soups were served with breads. Super yums.

Moving on, our mains:

Grilled Marinated Alive Farm Free Range Chicken Supreme, Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables in Tomato Case, Confit Garlic Puree, Basil Scented Oil and Jus

Grilled Tenderloin of Black Angus Beef, Pommes au Dauphinoise, Fricassee of Wild Mushroom, Glazed Baby Onions, Morel Jus, Truffle Scented Oil

Amazing company, amazing food, amazing view. What more could I ask for?

We ended our meal with a touch of sweets:

Chocolate Spiced Torte, Lemon Sherbet, Light Hazelnut Custard
We wanted to go for Teh Tarik’ Ginger Panna Cotta & Kaya Butter Toast, but they were out of it when we were there. You have no idea how disappointed I was. Carmen dislikes chocolate so I had most of the dessert to myself. Hee.

My 'cause baby I'm fabulous face. HAHAH.

.. and hello there x

I'm really blessed to have you in my life. I can't wait to go home this summer already!

Lastly, my #ootn

Have a great Spring break

Lots of Love,

Redang Island, Kuala Terengganu #3

Waking up to such peaceful and gorgeous view in the morning.

.. And with my most favourite man on Earth. Life is amazing <3

After another hearty breakfast, we made our way across to another island to have a scuba diving session. I promise you, that was the best experience I have ever had so far. We've got to swim with the fishes and play with them.

AND! We managed to get really, really close to eels that were hidden under the bridge. It was so amazing yet scary at the same time. That's cause you will never know when they're gonna stick their heads out to hunt for their meals. If you happen to go to the beach, SCUBA DIVING is the thing to do.

I think I look like Ariel from Little Mermaid but with legs in these pictures

Oh, cheeky mum x

After heading back to our resort, I've managed to take a couple of nice pictures of the beach and me, of course. HAHAH. The beach is really, really gorgeous. You definitely will never get tired looking at it.

Look how clear the water is

.. and a couple at More More Tea Inn

Yes, I finally got over the fact that it's just a gift shop.

We made full use of other people's wedding props, such eco-friendly people.

Thank you for all the lovely pictures <3

More More Tea Inn by day..

.. and by night.

Thank you, Redang Island for the memorable experience. I was truly impressed and really miss this #summertimesadness.

Lots of Love,
